Never Hurts to Be Proactive

postpartum mother

I’m a first time mom and to say the least I had no idea what the heck was going on with my body. I didn’t recognize it anymore and had no idea what was normal. I didn’t have any major symptoms but wanted to understand more and do what I could to get back to my normal. That’s when I turned to a few mom friends who guided me to a pelvic floor physiotherapist. Turns out the pelvic floor is way bigger than I knew -- one of the many things I learned from my PT. I am so happy I went to see Melissa early in my postpartum journey at 3 weeks. I am now 8 weeks postpartum and feeling stronger already!

Helpful Techniques

N.L., new mom

Visualization techniques for pushing during labour were incredibly helpful. When it came time to push, I knew which mm to use, how to breathe effectively and how to visualize the mm opening. I recommend seeing a PFPT to all of my friends and I hope the word spreads about how valuable it is.

More Empowered

Elizabeth, new mom

Mel is incredibly knowledgeable and broke down the anatomy of my pelvic floor in a way that made sense. I now feel more empowered and less in the dark about what to expect during labor, delivery and postpartum. She also gave useful tips that I hadn't heard from my prenatal classes, friends, or prenatal yoga classes. I highly recommend this even if it's not your first baby!

Essential for my Recovery

Angela Healey

I started online appointments with Mel 9 days postpartum and I would highly recommend to every woman. My labour was long and ended in emergency c-section which was very traumatic for me. The online appointments have been essential for my recovery. I have felt so supported with very simple things to work on that gave me confidence to move again.

In Control

Camilla, new mom

Mel gave me the knowledge to understand my postpartum journey and gave me the confidence to trust that I’m still in control of my body. With a little help, I can work at getting it back to normal.
