Mel’s class is fun, information packed and was easy to fit the course into my busy schedule. I love that I can watch at my own pace, print the notes and review the lessons whenever I need a refresher. I feel like I am able to offer even better support to my birth and postpartum clients since I’ve taken her course. Thanks Mel! Elise Ruel Elise Ruel Doula Services

Short version: Mel is wonderful and this course is packed with useful information to guide Doulas. Long version: Often times, when I get a new client or an inquiry from someone with a specific concern they express feeling "too overwhelmed" by everything that they have read or have been told to do so far. A big part of my job is to help clean that up and then provide them with a basic set of tools to set a strong foundation - from there, everything is "extra." This course provided me with enough of an understanding of the pelvic floor and some really simple yet effective tools that I can incorporate into that foundation without causing an overload. That speaks to Mel's expertise, as she was able to present this information so simply. Additionally, I feel better equipped to help my clients to understand the importance and the role of a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist (most have never even heard of them!). I am looking forward to future courses by Mommy Berries and will absolutely continue to recommend the Prenatal and Postpartum courses to clients!

Highly recommend this course! This course has brought awareness to many things I had very little knowledge about as a Doula! I love how Melissa broke it down from basic understanding, prenatal and then postpartum! Most importantly she has compiled resources and ways us birth workers can aid our clients whether through exercise or references.

I've been a doula for over 7 years and I've never seen this information presented in such a concise and cohesive way all in one training. Rather than gathering bits and pieces of info from different sources, this training brings all of the pertinent pelvic floor information (anatomy, structure, purpose, pregnancy impacts, birth impacts, and postpartum recovery) together so that doulas can really learn and help educate and guide their clients. It also explained certain exercises such as muscle activation and relaxation and perineal massage in a way that I had never even heard of before and it definitely changed the way I will look at those exercises in the future.

I've been looking for ways to enhance my knowledge about the pelvic floor but have run into challenges finding information that was either at my (beginner!) level. This was easy to digest and understand and I feel like I have a much better grasp on the information I was seeking. I will definitely be able to incorporate the information shared into my doula practice.
